Hi, I'm Josh.

I'm a pastor, and I make maps.

For more than twenty years I've served in local churches and on college campuses, including extended ministry at Indiana University. Today I'm Pastor of Mobilization for New International, where I recruit, equip, and train missionaries. Mobilization helps people find their place in God's story, and I love connecting the local church to the global church.

Why a map?

Again and again, I've sat with people who love God but have no clear daily path. They read, pray, serve, and listen — and still feel scattered. Doing many faithful things, unsure what faithfulness requires next.

The problem was never a lack of content. It was a lack of orientation.

So I started building the map.

What I'm building

Build a Better Map is a simple, biblical path for life with God: teaching, frameworks you can actually practice, books, a podcast, and workshops. Little Flock is the community where we walk it together — one clear next step at a time.

The proof isn't a platform. It's believers, missionaries, and pastors who found their next faithful step — and kept walking.

Off the map

I'm married to Laura — twenty-plus years — and we're raising four daughters. We open our home and share our table as often as we can. That's where most of my best theology gets tested.
